The deadline has been extended a day for those who want to create a canvas to benefit oil-soaked gulf wildlife.
People can stop by Project Space, 150 Liberty St. NE, to buy a small canvas for $5 on Saturday. The summer gallery will be open from noon to 7 p.m. After decorating it any way they choose, they should return it on Tuesday.
The finished works will be sold for $20 each at an event from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Project Space. So far, about 100 canvases are being prepared, according to Barry Shapiro, the organizer.
Proceeds will benefit the National Wildlife Federation.
